The ALCQ quilt retreat is coming soon. Get ready to pack up your unfinished projects, or a new project and let’s go up to North Star Bible Camp, for a relaxing and fun-filled weekend!! Their web site is northstarbiblecamp.com. Take a look!!!!!
North Star Bible Camp is located out of Willow. We will all be in the same quilting room on ground level and the dining room is on the ground level. Our cabins are 4-plexes. Each room has five bunks, two sinks, one toilet, and one shower. Please notify us in advance of special needs you may have. Sign up early to get a bottom bunk!!!! They have a coffee bar!!!
There will be a GOODY BAG!!!!!!!!! If you would like to help with donations, let me know.
For those of you who can come early, you can sign up for the Full Retreat and arrive as early as 10:00 am on Thursday. Bring a sack lunch, as the first meal to be cooked for us will be supper Thursday night. The other option is to come for the Regular Retreat, arriving Friday anytime after 10:00 am and have lunch and supper with the rest of us.
Bring a half-yard of a SPECTACULAR fabric for a Chinese auction. Wrap it up and somehow include the shop it came from, in case the recipient wants to buy more.
Sign up for a professional 15-minute or 30 minute massage on Saturday. A sign-up sheet will be available at the front desk.
There will be two Block drawings. One will be using any colors-light and dark-strong contrast. The other will be paper pieced using cream/off-white for the background and five prints of one color family. One of the classes will be using embellishments to make wearable art!!!! So, start looking in your stash.
There will be a funky inspiration recycle challenge—USED ITEMS ONLY: material, jewelry, lace, buttons, specialty threads, netting, embellishments, little treasures, etc. This challenge is to be no larger than 18 inches. Dig into that stash for old stuff to recycle!!!!
There is no smoking or alcohol allowed at the camp as well as no firearms or illegal drugs. No pets or other animals are allowed.
A confirmation letter with oodles and oodles of information will be sent before the retreat to those who are registered and paid.
Refund policy:
Ø There will be no refund, unless there is a death in the immediate family. The retreatee can try to find someone to attend the retreat in their place, and obtain payment from the replacement retreatee. In the case where there is a waiting list, and if someone from the wait list is able to replace the retreatee who is canceling, a refund will be made.
