Tedy Bear Tea Feb. 16, 2011

The 8th annual Teddy Bear Tea was well attended . John Norris from KTUU took some photos which you can see on his webpage.
Here is a note from Judy Veerman, Head of the Teddy Bear Tea committee:
Teddy Bear Tea Party

It is the ambition of Teddy Bears to inspire Love.

Congratulations, dear friends. February's Teddy Bear Tea broke all records. Seems like that happened last year, too.
An overwhelming 331 teddies and wannabees showed off their special quilts all around the room. Plus, we had the good fortune of having a number of visitors from outside the guild come to share the event. They were dazzled by our members' creativity.

The Teddies were distributed to AWAIC, Clare House, the Salvation Army, Office of Children's Services, and to Child in Transition which is the ASD program for homeless children. The Teddies are happily living with children of their very own. And the children now have very special, very loyal Teddy friends.

Thank you to one and all who do so much to make this program successful. Thank you to all the quilt makers, the cookie bakers, the tea servers, the set up team, the tag team, and to all the agency hosts.
Well done !
Judy Veerman
