The Holiday Party & a little Show & tell

It was a festive party.








A few new guests.
A little show & tell...
Harmony showed a necklace she made with a crystal rock & wire.


Deb Hardman & Sandy Winfree showed what they made from techniques they taught each other. Sandy needle felted her shawl after Deb showed her how easy it was, & Deb made a little quilt after learning the Shibori-rock technique from Sandy.

November Day group Show & Tell

We started out with Deb H showing a customer quilt that she just quilted.
Jetta showed a sweatshirt jacket she made.
Nancy had a comfort quilt that she bound. Donna E. pieced it, & Sharon D. quilted it.
Nancy also bound this quilt
Mary G. made this little Crazy quilt for her daughter Liz's 40th birthday, starting it in Kathy Kansier's class.
Harmony did this one in Kathy's class,
& Robyn did this one.
Regina bound 3 Comfort quilts.


This quilt was made by Vicki F. for a child (from EAFB),of a deployed soldier.
This is the back of the same quilt.
This quilt was donated to us from Louise Bremner, to be finished hand quilting, & used as a raffle quilt in the future.

Pedals For Africa program

Starting with Show & Tell, Jackie showed us the shirt, that she fuse-appliqued figures cut out from a new Alexander Henry print that you can get at Quilt Zone.


Irene had a sweat shirt that she converted into a jacket.

Jane brought in 2 quilts for teddy bears, & 1 for Providence hospital's dying patients.


New member Peggy, showed cards she has been working on.
Sandy made another textured work of art.

Glenda did a table runner that looked good on both sides.
Delberta made a purse from Ricky Tims Convergence method of piecing.

Pat did the above quilt, inspired from a picture in a book.
This is a comfort quilt that she pieced.
Marcia came from the Valley Quilt guild, to invite ALCQ members to come to the Valley Guild's retreats.

April brought in fabric to share, that she bought in Africa.



April Boles was our guest speaker. She talked about her organization, Pedals for Africa, & showed slides from her most recent trip there, where she distributed bicycles to young people for the purpose of helping them get to & from school. More info available at the website: Pedals for Africa.
ALCQ member Clara Jo donated several pieces to be used as fund-raisers for Pedals For Africa.
