March Day Group Bussiness Meeting

Today's Business meeting was well attended, even though we had some rotten spring snow & ice today.
The final count on the Teddy Bear Tea, was 233 quilts & critters. Some of them were donated by Community groups including some boys from the McLaughlin Youth Center, as well as a Soup Club & a Book Club.
The Board is establishing a Telephone Tree, in case of meetings being cancelled in an emergency.
The Annual Quilt Retreat is being planned for May 28th-31st. They will be doing a Mini Mystery, block drawings, & prizes, as well as Massage Therapists, for your tight muscles, & door prizes. Contact Cheryl Griffith if you want to attend.
Classes for Gail Garber will be opened to non-members starting April 5th, so if you want to take her classes, sign up soon!
The following were some of today's Show & Tell:
Jackie Carley with a quilt made for her by Mary Lee. Jackie said it was all about a bad day she had, when her sun roof opened automatically, & all the snow that was on top landed inside. She was throwing snowballs out of her car to get rid of the snow, & other divers were looking at her funny.
Kay Fiero did a Christmas table runner,
& a humming birds quilt.
Louise Bremner donated this pretty top to the Comfort Quilt Committee.
Irene Stewart showed this scarf she made to wear to her son's wedding.
It was made from Batiks with torn edges, & fun trims,
& bead embellishments.
Marilyn Galbraith made this quilt for a grandchild.
New member Sandy L. showed her work in progress. Sandy is working at Seams Like Home.
Rena Brinker made this Music quilt, &
also showed the "Baggie Challenge quilt" made for her by Lynnette Motz, from Rena's bag of "strange stuff". This was a challenge by the small quilt group "Calendar Girls".
