Our special featured quilter Don Locke, from Waxahtache, Texas. Above he stands next to his 2nd quilt, The Supper. It was made from all 1 inch squares cut, & arranged on his design wall, then numbered & sewn together into 1/2 inch finished squares using a 50 year old little Singer Featherweight machine.
Below he & his wife Marilyn stand next to his 1st quilt. These were taken on Friday evening after set-up.
The next 4 panels are all auction quilts.
Here is Don in his shirt, hand-dyed to match the back of his quilt.
Irene, Louise, & liz spent some time manning the Judy Hopkins memorial exhibit. Judy's family members came later to the show.
