Barbara Russell, ALCQ member & J&H Sewing store manager, WOWed us today with her clever uses of old bits of clothing & ties that she bought for 99 cents at the local Value Village.
She used old coat linings to make beautiful Home Dec pillows, embellishing with embroidery, quilting, crystals & beads.
This bag was made by one of her students, from old ties.
In this little orange bag, she carries he cup, to help keep Styrofoam cups out of the landfills.
An old dress became a fancy clutch purse.
Someone's old winter coat is a nice bag now.

Barb uses black stabilizer on the inside back of a jacket, when she used a Laurel Burche embroidery, & it looked great inside & out.
This little plastic purse designed like boy's undershorts had a message about "chicks" on it. You can click on the image to see it closer.
