Today's show & tell was mostly about Patriotic & Floral quilts. Pat Schroder showed her first Bargello quilt (above.
Winnie LaVare showed her little floral wool pin cushion. (below)
Ruthe Rasmussen showed quilt she made using "Thangles", which she seemed to have a love/hate relationship with.
She also had a few Teddy & friends quilts,
one of which was originally from her Gail Garber class.
Last she had an patriotic quilt that was 25 yrs old,
& the back was great too.
Irene Stewart showed one of her flower quilts,
& her floral jacket, made with photos of her own garden.
Jan Wills had a small Auction quilt to show.
Cheryl Griffin showed some Barbara LaVallee print fabric that she bought at the Quilted Raven.
Barbara Clinton had a Comfort quilt
A small auction quilt,
& a folded star in a hoop made by late ALCQ-member, Ruth Horvath, to show for her Patriotic piece,
as well as 2 small wall quilts.
Louise Bremner shared her patriotic Hollyhocks, that she made in 1995, all by hand.
Sister Rosaria had a star quilt that she made all by hand, for the small quilt auction.
Regina Dalton had 2 teddy bear quilts, that she made, the first one using some of late year's challenge fabric.
She also finished a small Auction quilt from a Jean Campbell block, from Kathy Harte's stash.
This small quilt she made for herself.
Margaret Gingerich showed he Rabbit quilt called "Where Have All the Pansies Gone?", made for the wild hare that apparently had a taste for pansies.
She also brought her "Recycle" quilt from the retreat challenge. The center piece is a cross-stitch that she made of her life in the Peace Corp n Solomon Island. The beads on it are from necklaces that were given to her & her husband by their students.
Darlene Appel showed her patriotic quilt. ,hat came from a guild Block-of the-Month, that was run by LaVonne DeBore back in 2000. Darlene won the July blocks that year.
Mary Huey made this baby quilt for a niece who is expecting a girl. It's from a Valorie Wells pattern.
Rena Brinker scored again BIG-TIME, at a garage sale. She bought this Snail's Trail quilt for an undisclosed amount of money.
Marie Fujimura showed this "Trip Around My Flower Garden" that she started in a Diana Bradley class.
She also had 3 small patriotic quilts that she made as gifts for friends,
& 2 other garden quilts.
Rosemary Slisz had a Patriotic quilt that was the "first quilt she ever made in class all by herself."
She also showed a floral quilt that she won at the 2009 Casa Auction, that had a reall interesting story behind it. It was called "Samantha's Flowers", made in memory of a child who had been given up for adoption, & was later found via the internet by her biological family.
Rosemary also showed this animal quilt called "Brown Bear-Brown Bear", made from an Ericka Carter quilt pattern.
Kaye Baer & Pat Schroder made this paper pieced floral quilt with 3-D leaves in their "Kept in Stitches" group. They are donating it to the Comfort Quilts.

& one of her own that was a McKenna Ryan pattern.
