August 3 Show and Tell

Betty finished this wall-hanging from long ago at the May retreat. On the right is the photograph which was sliced into 8 sections, replicated by members of the Last Wednesday small group, and pieced together by Betty.

This quilt and the following six quilts shown by Regina and Rena are Comfort Quilts.

Deliberate showed her quilt from the Roosting Robin project, a guild-wide challenge.

Jeanette is downsizing in preparation for a move and has been finishing UFOs.  This miniature quilt is from 20 years ago.

Jeanette enjoyed making this Dresden plate quilt; she prefers to work on small quilts.

Jeanette made this quilt from fabric scraps for her grand-nephew.

This blue quilt and the green one below resulted from Jeanette's personal challenge to piece randomly.

Kate showed a bag made from a new crafting material and a t-shirt.

The pattern for Linda's puffin quilt was created by Ramona Chinn, one of this year's featured quilters and a founding member of the guild.

Lynnette showed three unique small quilts which she donated to the Small Quilt Auction. If you like one of them, be sure to bid on it at the silent auction during the September 16-17 Great Alaska Quilts Show.

Marge made this colorful raven quilt.

Rena and her son made "bucket" hats from patterns Rena found on-line.

Rena created this quilt, titled "Why Can't We Just Be Friends", for the Calendar Girls' 2018 music themed calendar.
Robyn's "In Moonlight Lilies" used a discontinued Mt. Redoubt Designs pattern.

Sandra and Marge showed bags they made.

Sandra made this cozy quilt from a Laurel Burch panel for a friend.
