Old Business: The annual meeting will be held on Sept. 24 at 5:30 at the bank building.
New Business: The day group Christmas party will be held December 3. Jackie Carley volunteered to coordinate the event. Volunteers to decorate tables needed.
Committee Reports:
Nominating Committee. There is a nominee for each board position.
Workshop: There are no openings in the Larkin Van Horn Sept. 18 and 19 classes, and waitlists for the classes have been established.
Quilt Show: Ruthie Rasmussen and Rosemary Slisz asked members to sign up to help at the show.
Linda Postlethwait reminded members once again that all large quilts in the show need to have a sleeve attached. She also is taking book orders for AQS books and calendars.
Irene Stewat has over 60 quilts for the small quilt auction. Mary Lee reminded members to buy and sell raffle tickets. Louise Bremner clarified information concerning the raffle quilt. She said it is entirely machine pieced and quilted (not done by hand).
Membership: Pat Schroeder encouraged members to renew their memberships soon so the membership directory can be printed in a timely manner.
Announcements: Harmony Moser offered congratulations to guild members who had quilts in the Palmer State Fair and especially to Kay Fiero whose appliqué piece was awarded a purple ribbon. Doris Rhodes gave some historical information concerning the guild’s previous involvement in the State Fair quilt exhibit.
Rena Brinker was fascinated by the tacking method demonstrated at the last program meeting. She has purchased a tacking gun and a case of the plastic tacks. She is willing to sell smaller lots to members who wish to try this method of basting quilts.
Meeting adjourned at 11:00 a.m.

Respectfully submitted, Darlene Appel, Secretary
