Quilt Show in a Nutshell 2009

Friday evening we setup the quilt show, at the Conoco Phillips Atrium. The following pictures are just a small sample of what you missed, if you didn't come join us!

Above are journal quilts by Carol Wight Jones.

These quilts were made by the Calendar Girls group "Baggie Challenge".

It was hard getting through the crowd to see the Small Auction quilts.

Doris Rhodes sat by a special Dentist quilt, & answered questions of anyone who asked.

There were unusual, creative , fun quilts , & some traditional beauties.

An art quilt by Kathy Harte.

This flag was quilted with the words of "The Pledge of Allegiance."

This is Maria Schell's.

Mary Penty Lee was our Featured quilter this year. Here she is t=in the middle answering questions.

Here are a few of Mary's wonderful pieces.

Lots of large quilts hung up above.

Judy Veerman hosted the Teddy Bears & Friends table. Behind her are a few of our Comfort Quilts. All of these animals & quilts will be given to our community.

These were the Small Quilt Auction.

Kathy Harte demonstrated machine quilting.

This was the raffle quilt, pieced by Louise Bremner & quilted by Maria Schell. Sorry I can't remember the name of the winner, but I think the last name was Brooks. Jackie Carley was selling the tickets.
