This quilt is from a pattern by Marlene Ander-son. I made this for my husband. The back-ground and flowers are hand painted. The birds are machine applique. Crystals make it sparkle in the sun.

This is the result of a landscape challenge by the Calendar Girls. I lined up beach combed rocks from a small cluster of islands near Culross Pass in Prince William Sound by their quartz stripes. I used applique, felting and seed stitching.

with it….so I cut it up and appliqued it on a jacket. This jacket has an
inter-lining of flannel to give it a bit more body and adds to the look of the
quilting.
