Nov.5,2009 Show & Tell

Long time member of ALCQ, Judy Hopkins has announced a new line of silver jewelry for quilters. Check out her link.


Deb Hardman is a member of the Alliance for American Quilts. They are having a fund raising auction on Ebay for the next couple of weeks. Deb's crazy quilt, "A Modern Romance" has been posted on author Barbara Brackman's blog, & will be up for auction Nov.9-15. Please check it out.


Say hello to new member, Jan Epperson!

This first quilt was pieced by Jane Ferguson & quilted by Arlene Heacox.

Delberta Trevithick showed her quilt made from last year's challenge fabric. It was quilted by Jean Van Benton.

Jan Wills made this T-shirt quilt for a friend of hers & Betty Bivins. Their friend is an active 100 1/2 year-old. The T-shirts are from Women's Runs that she participated in.

Jan tried to use up some of her own stash on the back side.

Jan also made this small applique' wall quilt.

Rena Brinker proudly showed her son Tucker's First Art Quilt. He designed it on paper (in church), then went home & made it, & quilted it himself. He calls it "Infinity".

Rena also mentioned that our member Linn Andrews is at home with Hospice attending her now. She is in bed, but would appreciated cards & notes.


Judy Veerman & Marge Sharrow showed this quilt made by member Marilyn Barnett, & quilted by Maria Schell. It's called "Fish ON" & will be for sale at St. Mary's Holiday Bazaar

Everything at the bazaar is made by members of St. Mary's. These are Coloring bags, & include coloring books & crayons.

Sandy Lundberg Showed her Halloween wall hanging made from soft flannel.

She also made this bag as a gift for her daughter (hope she doesn't read this).

She made this place-mat for a niece, using her embroidery machine.

Marie Fujimura finished this comfort quilt, that was pieced by Donna Evans.

Marie also made this Suduko top, for a comfort quilt.


This Fish quilt she made for CASA, from a pattern by a Kenai quilter. If anyone knows the name, let Deb Hardman know & I will include the link here!
Marie also made this Block of the Month quilt, from Seams Like Home.
Sandy Winfree made this Shibori Silk Scarf Sculpture as a textural wall hanging.
Kathleen Boulch showed this Christmas table runner, modified from a pattern.
This is a Round Robin quilt that Marie did with people from all over the Internet. She called it "Visions of Sugar Plums".
This "Wreath of Love "quilt is another Round Robin she participated in.
Rosemary Slisz form the Comfort Quilt comittee showed several comfort quilts.

Deb showed this "Feather Sampler" that she made as a sample for a Feather Quilting class she will be teaching at Seams Like Home around January or February.
